Dear Parents & Families,
The past two weeks have been unlike any other for our communities. The challenges and difficulties that we face as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic are impacting everyone. During these times our district is committed to providing content and learning activities with opportunities for teachers and families to connect regularly. Our middle school distance learning plan outlines how we will deliver instruction and create experiences for our students to learn and grow.
Parent involvement and family support will be an essential part of student success. We understand there may be some uncertainty as we begin this transition, but our faculty, staff, and administration are committed to learning through this process. Teachers will be reaching out to families through the Sapphire Class Pages and email to help get you acclimated to the distance learning platforms.
One thing we do know is that establishing routines are helpful for all of us, especially young people, and we encourage developing a simple consistent schedule for these days. As we prepare to begin our distance learning next week please communicate with your child’s teachers if your family has any unique needs during this time.
Due to the health and safety of our staff, parents and students will not be permitted to enter the building. Teachers will be planning instruction knowing students may not have binders and/or textbooks. Library books may be returned when school is back in session. There will be no fines.
Thank you for your involvement and support in the learning process, and I wish each of your families health and safety.
