What is a School Psychologist?
School Psychologists (SPs) are trained to help students succeed behaviorally, academically, socially and emotionally. We use our training in clinical, educational, and developmental psychology to support our students and their families. We work to identify and address learning or behavior needs, evaluate for the continuum of special education supports and services, collaborate with community agencies, support mental health needs, and much more!
Where does a School Psychologist work?
SPs can be found in public or private schools, universities, community based treatment centers, hospitals, school-based mental health centers, juvenile justice centers or private practices.
