Harvest of the Month
Harvest of the Month is a state initiative from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Project PA (Penn State University) to promote a local fruit and vegetable product each month in education centers. The program strives to increase nutrition education and fruit and vegetable consumption amoung students.

The food service department aims to offer a Harvest of the Month recipe served at lunch each month, while providing nutrition education about the produce.
