Good afternoon Warrior Run Community,
Positive Case Notification
We received notification earlier today that one of our high school staff members tested positive for COVID-19. Based on the facts surrounding the case and due to the mitigation efforts we have in place, it has been determined that no students or staff members are required to quarantine at this time.
Updated State Orders
Based on Secretary Levine’s latest orders, we would like to reinforce the importance of wearing face-coverings throughout the school day. Masks breaks are still permitted as long as students are 6’ apart. Students must also wear a face-covering while they are riding district transportation. We appreciate your support in reinforcing our mitigation efforts and helping us to limit exposure of the virus in our schools.
Effective Friday, November 20th, the State of Pennsylvania has mandated that residents traveling out of state are required to obtain a negative COVID test within 72 prior to entering the Commonwealth, or quarantine for 14 days upon entering. Please know that as a public school district, we are required to follow mandates set forth by State officials. As a result, families who travel out of State over the Thanksgiving holiday and/or planning a future educational trip will be required to follow these orders for as long as the mandate is in effect. Students will be provided the opportunity to continue their education virtually while awaiting test results or during the quarantine period.
Instructional Model Questions
We have been receiving inquiries regarding potential changes in our instructional model following the Thanksgiving holiday. Please know that we are having internal conversations and monitoring case counts both locally and across the region to make a best determination. We will certainly provide as much advanced notice as possible to our community should our instructional model change.
Have a good evening,
