The WRSD awarded $20,000 from the Ralph and Josephine Smith Grant Fund.

Grants

The Warrior Run School District is pleased to announce that the District has been awarded $20,000 from the Ralph and Josephine Smith Grant Fund.  The grant will be used for a greenhouse project and to support teaching & learning during the pandemic.  Led by Jonathan Hall, Food Service Supervisor, plans are currently underway to construct a greenhouse in the middle school courtyard that will be used for agriculture, food, and nutrition classes.

With ever-changing times, a portion of the grant will provide funding for remote learning technology needs and safety/PPE equipment for the school.

Grants from the Ralph and Josephine Smith Fund are made possible by the generous gifts of Josephine Smith, a woman of vision for the future of her community.  The Ralph and Josephine Smith Fund is a field of interest fund established to grant to charitable organizations that serve the residents of Upper Northumberland and the Warrior Run community.  The Ralph and Josephine Smith Fund is administered by the First Community Foundation Partnership, Williamsport, PA.

On behalf of the Warrior Run School District, we are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve our community alongside the generous support of the Smith Family.
