Welcome to the Warrior Run School District! I have had the distinct pleasure and honor of leading this wonderful family of learners and educators for the past five years. Warrior Run is unlike no other and embraces the strong academic, athletic, and extra-curricular programs offered to the students in our district. Our faculty and staff work extremely hard to deliver the best possible education for our students and provide them with unique and challenging opportunities. Following a year-long vision development process, our School Board adopted Educational Goals developed through Defender Ready 2025. These goals are a direct reflection of the collaborative efforts of our school community which included students, parents, business leaders, community members, school board members, teachers, staff, and administrators. At Warrior Run, we are excited to continue the important work and implementation of these goals to ensure that our students become innovators and leaders in the 21st century.
No one could have predicted that our world (literally) would have been thrown into a pandemic during the spring of 2020 and continuing into the 20-21 school year. Now as the 21-22 school year is upon as, we continue to do everything that we possibly can to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, and families. We are prioritizing in-person instruction because we believe that the best instructional opportunities happen face-to-face. We are also providing remote learning options through our Warrior Run Cyber Academy. We would ask families who wish to choose a cyber option to choose our cyber academy opposed to an outside cyber school. Our cyber program offers 100's of courses aligned to students' needs and interests while allowing us to provide for additional support and interventions at any point in time. No matter the situation or circumstances, we are poised to assist and support our students and families. In turn, we ask our families to take part in the educational process of our students and support one another through these challenging times.
It is important to note that we will prevail and continue to thrive as we improve our educational opportunities and develop even more partnerships with the community. We strive to provide the best education that our students deserve, and together, we have the ability to ensure that this in fact happens. We are working hard to communicate the wonderful things happening at Warrior Run by expanding the use of our web page, developing our Facebook page, and utilizing Twitter. Please help us share the many outstanding celebrations of our faculty, staff, and students. Finally, as we navigate through this school year, please feel free to reach out to me with questions, comments, and concerns!
