Welcome to the Warrior Run High School Health Office Web Page!
New! Immunization requirements have changed for the 2017-18 School Year! Please be sure your child is up to date by the first week of school or risk exclusion. New guidelines can be found here.
Each year every student has their height, weight, and vision screening done. For 11th grade students (and anyone with any concerns), a hearing screening is also performed. Results of these tests are e-mailed home. Questions or concerns about these screenings should be directed to the high school nurse.
Health care plans are to be completed in collaboration with parents and their health care provider for any student with diabetes, seizures, food or bee sting allergies, asthma, or any other health concern that may impact their learning at school. Should a student require a medication while at school, the appropriate paperwork must be completed as per school policy (see handbook for policy, forms are below).
Students in 11th grade are required by PA law to have a physical exam done. Accepted forms include sports physicals, work physicals, private, or school physicals. Physicals may be submitted any time during a student's sophomore or junior year. The school appointed health care provider from Watsontown Family Practice will be in the High school on February 20, 2018 beginning at 8am to do physicals.
Sports physicals are done the first week of June. The 2017-18 sports physicals were done on June 1st (2017) in the high school nurse's office. Forms are always available in the Athletic Office to be completed by your Primary Cary Provider.
Don't forget all medications need to be picked up by a parent on or before the last day of school! Those not picked up will be discarded!
