ABOUT OUR SCHOOL Located in a rural area of Central Pennsylvania, the high school facility was built in 1969. The present complex has 24 general classrooms, a science complex of 5 classrooms and labs with prep rooms and offices, as well as two rooms for Family and Consumer Science, 4 technology labs, 4 computer labs and a music complex. The high school also includes a library, art room, gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria, weight and wrestling rooms, and special education facilities. As a comprehensive high school, our students can select from a variety of courses ranging from technology to advanced placement and fine arts to science. The 46 members of the faculty are all certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to teach in their subject areas.. COMMUNITY The Warrior Run School District (population 12,000) is located in a rural-agricultural area of north central Pennsylvania. The area is served by major highway routes 15 (north/south), I-180 (north/south), and I-80 (east/west). It is a predominantly middle class, blue collar community with a large variety of industries within a 20 mile radius. The school serves not only as an educational facility but also a purveyor of cultural, social, and recreational opportunities. A 90-100 B 80-89 C 70-79 D 65-69 E 64 and below COURSES AND EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Students may choose from a variety of courses to reflect their educational and career goals. A cumulative grade point average and class rank are computed for all subjects of all students at the end of grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. Honors and AP courses are weighted. Varsity sports available at Warrior Run include: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, soccer, softball, track, golf and wrestling. In addition there are over twenty clubs and activities sponsored by the high school. The Warrior Run High School provides equal opportunity in all programs offered. The Warrior Run High School is approved and accredited by the Middle States Association of Secondary Schools as a four year secondary school.
