Tax Payment Information

School district real estate and per capita tax bills are mailed each year on or about July 1st.  It is the taxpayer’s responsibility to make sure bills are received and paid. Please contact our office if you have not received your bill by July 15th.  Interim bills are mailed throughout the year when a change in assessment occurs. The tax office is the contact for questions concerning school real estate and per capita taxes in all municipalities of the Warrior Run School District.

Payment Instructions

Please be sure that the check amount is equal to the coupon amount and mail your payment to:

If a receipt is required, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. 

Payments must be postmarked by the due date.  Payments in person are accepted at any branch of Swineford National Bank, FNB Bank N.A., Fulton Bank, or any other Fulton Bank affiliate.  Tax Coupon Required.

All real estate tax payments not received or postmarked by December 31st will be forwarded to the tax claim office at each county for collection.  All per capita tax payments not received or postmarked by December 31st will be forwarded to Statewide Tax Recovery for collection.

ACT 1 and the HOMESTEAD/FARMSTEAD EXCLUSION

ACT 1
The Taxpayer Relief Act of 2006 (Act 1) is a state law intended to ease the financial burden of home ownership by providing school districts the means to lower property taxes to homeowners with funding provided by gaming revenue.
 
Homestead/Farmstead Exclusions
In order to be eligible for a property tax reduction you must have applied for and been approved by the county assessment office for the homestead or farmstead exclusion by March 1st. If you are a new resident or have not previously applied for the Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion, please contact your county assessment office.
