Title I Services
Title I Administrative Team: Alan Hack, Superintendent, Theresa Bartholomew, Director of Educational Programs, Nate Minium, Elementary Principal and Andrea Heller, Assistant k-8 Principal.
The Warrior Run School District offers reading and math Title I services at Turbotville Elementary School and Watsontown Elementary School. The Title I program is funded by the Federal Government and overseen by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Additional support is provided to help students who are below level become proficient in reading and math. Whole group, small group, and/or individual instruction focuses on specific skills necessary for students to be proficient in reading and math. An extended day program helps kindergarten students, who are at risk for learning problems, with reading and math readiness skills.
A strong and necessary component of the Title I program is parental involvement. The Warrior Run School District has an active Parent Advisory Council that encourages the involvement of all Title I parents. Family Nights, held twice yearly, provide a great connection between home and school. Parents and teachers working together ensure success for students.
