Defender Ready 2025

During the 2015-2016 school year, the district has embarked on a year-long journey to develop a clearly defined vision for teaching and learning in our classrooms by 2025.  The first step in the process was the establishment of a core vision team in which members of the team have driven the development of the vision for our district.  The success of this effort has only be achieved through collaboration and involvement of all Warrior Run Stakeholders.

Why develop a vision?

We know that the world around us is changing at a speed much quicker than ever before.  Not only is our economy rapidly evolving, the global economic changes are evident on a daily basis.  With that said, our current 3rd graders will be graduating in the year 2025.  Although 2025 seems to be a long way off, a great deal can and will happen over the next 10 years in the world of education and beyond.  Our responsibility as an educational community is to ensure that our students are prepared to enter the workforce or some form of post-secondary education upon completion of high school.  As we develop an idea of what teaching and learning will look like today, tomorrow, and into the future, our goal is to provide learning environments that are conducive to learning styles of all 21st century learners.
